  • You’ll start with a warm check-in: how you’ve been, what’s on your mind, and practical updates (sleep, meds, major events). The therapist asks curious, open questions and listens without judgment. Together you’ll set a session goal and focus on one or two doable topics—exploring feelings, spotting patterns, practicing a coping skill, or reflecting on a hard interaction.

    Expect talking plus active work: gentle reflections, reframing unhelpful thoughts, breathing or grounding exercises, role-play, or behavioral experiments. You’ll plan small, realistic steps to try between sessions and decide what to notice or track. Sessions are confidential (with standard legal exceptions), paced to your comfort, and aligned with your values.

    At the end you’ll review what helped, summarize takeaways or homework, and set the focus for next time so you leave with clearer perspective and practical tools.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes in length. At first, many people attend therapy weekly, extending to bi-weekly, then spread out further depending on progress, your preference, goals, and therapist availability.

  • Therapy is a process, and it's important that you find it helpful. You are encouraged to share your progress or any concerns with your therapist. Regular feedback helps support your goals and, if needed, find an approach that suits you better.

  • The session fee is $210 for a 50 minute session.

  • Owl Practice is used as a platform for video therapy sessions. All you need is a phone and a great wifi connection to engage. Your therapist will email instructions for the video session ahead of time. Owl Practice also allows you to review your appointment times, receipts and send secure messaging to your therapist.
